How are TUMOON apparel made?
1. Drawings & Ideas Offering
If you send your kids costume designs or ideas to us, we will quote you the best price, including sample cost and bulk unit price.
2. Design Details Discussion & Confirmation
Once the price is confirmed, we will discuss all costume details. We will provide professional suggestions on fabrics, sizes, colors, craftsmanship, appearance, accessories, packing and more, to make production smoother and designs better.
3. Sample Development
After confirming all design details, we will arrange sample making. The sample lead time is about 7–10 days.
4. Detailed Production Process
Productions are crafted from high-quality, safety-tested fabrics such as soft cotton, breathable tulle, and durable satin, all compliant with international standards like ASTM F963 , CPSIA and EN71. Fabrics are carefully selected for comfort, durability, and non-toxicity, ensuring they meet the unique needs of children’s apparel.
Next, the fabric is moved to the pattern and cutting department. Our designers create custom patterns for each style, tailored to fit different sizes and designs (such as tutu skirts, layered princess dresses, or ruffled sleeves). These patterns are digitized and printed, then laid out on the fabric to minimize waste. The fabric is cut using precision cutting machines, ensuring clean edges and accurate sizing.
After cutting, the fabric pieces are sent to the sewing and assembly workshop. Skilled seamstresses sew each component together, using reinforced stitching for stress points (like waistbands and tulle layers) to ensure durability. For intricate details such as lace appliques, bows, and embroidery, we use both machine stitching and hand-finishing to maintain quality.
Once assembled, the garments move to the trimming and ironing stage. Workers trim loose threads, press seams flat, and steam the tulle or organza to restore volume and shape.
Next, each item undergoes an in-line QC check. Inspectors verify stitch quality, fit, color accuracy, and safety (checking for loose threads or small parts that could pose a choking hazard). Defects that are repairable (such as minor loose threads or misaligned seams) are sent back to the sewing department for correction. Severe defects are marked as scrap and removed from the production line.
After passing in-line QC, the garments proceed to the finished QC inspection. Inspectors perform a full review, checking dimensions, fabric quality, labeling, and packaging readiness. Only products that meet our strict standards move forward.
Approved garments are then labeled with size tags, care instructions, and brand tags. They are folded neatly and packaged in protective poly bags or custom boxes, depending on the order requirements.

5. Inspection
Before packing, all items go through strict quality inspection. You are warmly welcome to visit our factory for on-site inspection, or you can arrange third-party inspection as you need.Quality inspections are conducted throughout the whole production process of garment and accessories. Fabrics are screened and tested before production. Workers check products for flaws and uneven workmanship during processing. All finished goods are fully inspected one by one. We carry out appearance check, workmanship test and safety inspection to rule out invisible defects and ensure kid-safety.

7. Custom Service
Customers are allowed to print exclusive logos, brand names and related product information on garments, tags and packages. We fully support private label and customized design services.
